KHQS Member Appreciation Month at the Kentucky Museum
As a thank you to KHQS for leading the effort to keep the “Kentucky Sun Quilt” in Kentucky, the Kentucky Museum has designated April 2018 as KHQS Members Month. All KHQS members will be able to tour the Kentucky Museum’s new quilt exhibit, “Kaleidoscope: Kentucky Museum Quilts,” without charge. “Kaleidoscope” showcases thirty rarely seen or previously unseen quilts from the museum’s holdings of more than 200 quilts and quilt-related historical textiles. Made in twenty-eight different patterns, the quilts on exhibit range in age from the 1820s through the 1970s and provide a snapshot of the textiles represented in the collection.
When you visit the Kentucky Museum in April, identify yourself as a KHQS member to the lobby clerk. Non-KHQS members who accompany KHQS members will pay the admission fee. The Kentucky Museum exhibit galleries are open Monday through Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm.

Members who come in April are free to tour the other exhibits without charge as well. Those individuals who are art lovers in general will enjoy the “2018 US Bank Celebration of the Arts” exhibit which runs through April 7th. “A Culture Carried: Bosnians in Bowling Green” explores the historical events that brought thousands of Bosnians to Warren County, Ky., and their unique cultural traditions.
